I will split this collection into 2 parts 2 chapters.

Chapter 1: new characters adapting to a new world.

To begin something new I started with a new character to make a new collection. I screen printed onto clothes. i’ve done this once before with the doomed to be great collection, which alone has a very important meaning to me. So what’s the meaning of making another collection using the same strategy as before, more money? more purpose in my daily life? I wasn’t sure, I had originally planned to go quiet to just work on my sewing skills making completely new pieces I made a few but they weren’t worth dropping. As i worked on this graphic i kept asking myself why. Why this character? Why would people care? but The answer was simple, a character isn’t just a drawing. It must have goals, ideals, a backstory, and an entire world built around them. So how do I do that. Oh i just make a manga. I don’t know how to make a manga but I just did it, I didn’t even write a script or storyboard. It didn’t make sense. So I researched more and completely restarted. This whole time in the back of my mind I knew this world had to encapsulate theinsaneclothing not just this one character. It had to give reason behind everything I made before and will make after this. So that’s the plan, that’s the birth of something new. Storytelling in my favorite form (manga & anime) telling stories for my fashion designs, giving new life to used garments and creating new characters through my experiences and inspirations. In chapter 1 there’s a lot unanswered questions but also sneak peeks and easter eggs to an interesting world behind all of my graphics and clothing. Giving even more reason to everything I make. Creating a story to follow, characters & messages to connect to. It might just seem like a big idea in my head now but its already started. The bricks are being laid, I’m determined to keep on building out this world in my head for my brand by drawing a manga series, drawing new graphics, and sewing new clothes by myself(for now.) It’s worth mentioning, chapter 1 and 2 will just be a insight to a few characters in a larger world. My 1st one shot manga before my 1st manga series. The 1st attempts before something bigger but so far it’s all been INTENTIONAL though I am my biggest critic I am also very impressed by what I was able to make in just 16 days. The next chapter and collection will take much longer & be thought out even more thoroughly this was just the start. Although chapter one and two aren’t told from the beginning. SOULM8S is more of a prelude or more accurately my 1st attempts of real character creation & design but still it’s TO BE CONTINUED
